Welcome!

Hello!

Welcome to BZT Vintage. I'm Brittney, aka: "BZ" - Owner, Purchaser, Operations, Marketing and Customer Service! :) Here is a pic of my family and me on one of our international trips! I love travel, clothes, vintage and style! I'm planning to thrift for you on my next international trip to Amsterdam! Yay.

Below are a few things I'd love for you to know before shopping my site!

  1. Welcome: First, welcome! I'm glad you found me. I JUST launched in September 2024, so I am still working out some kinks. Thanks four your patience!
  2. Item Descriptions: I do my VERY best to photograph and list out all of the details that may help you make your decision. However, I am currently only one person and I'm human, so I may miss some things here and there. Luckily, I am allowing returns for 14 days upon delivery. So, if you aren't satisfied for any reason, you can return it. You will need to pay for the return shipping.
  3. Vintage: I try to source secondhand items based on quality, style (is it cool now?), brands I love and items I think others will love. That said, I'm still learning how to identify true vintage items. I don't label it vintage unless I'm pretty confident that it is vintage (20 years +, meaning manufactured 2004 or earlier). Some jeans are pretty difficult to date, so I only label jeans as "Vintage" when I'm pretty confident in the year or general timeframe.
  4. Not Vintage: I also source items that aren't vintage, simply because they are cool items, in great condition, must-haves, still in style, etc. And, it's better that they end up in your closet vs. a landfill!
  5. Cleaning of Products: I wash and dry all clothing items before they enter my inventory. Prior to washing, I spot clean and do my best to remove stains, but some stains end up being stubborn. I do my best to note and photograph stains and/or damage. Small stains or discoloring may be missed here and there. For leather products, I hand clean and use special leather care. For shoes, I clean and sanitize to the best of my ability. Some of the markings on the bottom are stubborn, sorry! For purses, I clean them inside and out. If something hasn't been cleaned (maybe a wool coat, for example), it will be noted on the product listing. However, I have had success washing a few dusty wool coats :) I still recommend washing or dry cleaning an item when you receive it. I wash with a special sensitive baby detergent + vinegar (vinegar cuts the thrift store smell -  they don't actually end up smelling like vinegar). After it's all said and done, they do smell pretty good, but some still have a hint of thrift store, lol!
  6. Pricing: I believe my pricing is very fair and I check almost all products against the market to see how others are pricing / have sold (and typically price a tad lower even). But, feel free to email me and make a private offer. If something has been sitting for awhile, i'm definitely open to it!
  7. Donations to Non-Profits of Interest: Currently, 10% of the sale from any National Park gear will be donated back to National Parks. We love backpacking and the outdoors! I may add more nonprofits as my business grows.
  8. Measure Yourself! I put all the measurements for bottoms in the product listing. This is because sizing is different across all brands, especially vintage (and some thing get stretched out, etc.). Below is a great video to help guide you on the measurements you will want to know / some tips on buying vintage jeans and bottoms.

Happy Shopping!
